about

The Steve Walther Orchestra tickle and scrape their way across the dark underbelly of popular song. They are at once exuberant and melancholic, a foghorn at Sunday service, a testament in a traffic jam. They are a spiraling dervish of strings and horns with a thorny backbone of a garage soul in a barrel of barking spirits. Their sunken ship is still ablaze beneath the waves and chains keep right on pulling.

These six songs found on this EP are but a taste of the two decades' worth of anthems to the louche life in which the Steve Walther Orchestra specializes. Drink deep, this vintage steeped in gaolers humor.
